Default pp intake.

hey guys i put my intake on a few weeks ago and am STILL having trouble getting the fuel rails to stop leaking im at a complete standstill and have no clue what to do now.....anyone do anything special to theirs or have any ideas........

anyone think ordering a set of speed inc or other equivalant rails and getting rid of the pp rails would be a fix?

I had the same problem. I finally used thread tape on the pipe thread and it stopped leaking.

is it possible the tape can break down and clog up injectors? just curious!

As long as you do not run the tape all the way down you will be fine. The sealant just will not seal on the pipe threads, trust me.

what rails are you using, plug, where's the leak ?

my rails f.a.s.t. had a leak also with my line kit from one of the sponsors here. had the o ring on everything was tight. came to find out it wasnt the correct plug it was a compression plug and i needed a o ring plug so i got a cap for the 8 to 6an peice(that i had a few of from the rail package and the line kit, and a new o ring.

seems like a much safer setup, i had a fishy feeling on that plug putting it in, the rim just looked to small to seal anything. where as all the others were bigger then the fuel rails.

He is 100% correct, I used the paste at first because I thought the same thing and I had it left over from my nitrous install. My rails leaked bad I think only one didn't. I used teflon tape on the rest and have had no problems.
