Quick Cutout Question?! Hey guys, Iam the proud new owner of a 1999 Blue-Green chameleon Trans Am, previuosly had a Lt1 Z28, an Iam loving the Ls1 
I have one quick question. It came with a cutout welded in before the muffler, after cats, but did not come with the block-off plate. Is it gonna ruin anything if i just leave it open always? I have heard people saying the cool-air hitting the hot engine can do damage..

I wouldn't spend the coin on an electronic cutout if you already have a manual. You could always pick up a block-off plate if you ever felt the need to cap it but I would take the $300 or whatever an e-cutout costs (mine was already installed when I bought the car) and put it towards headers or pick up an LS6 intake.
