Default To X or not to X, for true duals.

I am building a LS2 stroker motor for my camaro and I am going to run true duals off of my new Kooks headers. I am still undecided about what muffler I am planning on running off of the collectors (xr1's, bullets, or magnaflows) Should I run an X pipe or not? I think the only difference is going to be the sound. Is the sound of a true dual setup with an X pipe worth the extra money for the X pipe. I have tried to listen to to exhaust clips on here of both setups, but most of those clips just dont do the cars justice.

go with an X pipe. the X helps balance out the flow and does help your hp

I think the X sounds a little better, but for the ground clearance issues you can come across, I'd skip it. When I had mine I welded and unwelded that thing a few times tryin to get more clearance, but the darn torque arm made it damn impossible. From what I remember it lowers the sound ever slightly since it balances out the pulses from each cylinder bank. The X will give you a few more ponies over not having it-the reason many go with it as well. I don't remember what the clearance was, but I think it may have been around 3-3.5 inches under the lowest part of the X (memory from measure), maybe a different brand would've given better clearance, but I couldn't get it any better. I only had a problem over speed bumps, but that still bothered me. If you don't mind that, and want every bit of power I'd say get one because they do produce better power results. Hope that helps with your decision
