Default Please Help Diagnose Minor Misfires On LS6 Swap

I've got an appointment tomorrow (Mon.) with Vengeance Racing to have my car dynotuned. I decided to ATap today to check and make sure everything's good so I'm not wasting my time on the dyno.

I did an LS6 longblock swap in the summer of '04 and I'm just now getting around to having the computer done since I've been running around on the stock '98 tune with the LS6.

My main concern was to make sure I don't have any misfires.

Right after I did the swap, I kept burning the #6 plug wire because of the Hooker shorty headers really being a tight fit around that plug, but I finally fixed the problem by using extra heatshielding around the wire.

Here's what I found on the ATap log.

I have minor misfires on cylinders #1 and #6. By minor, I'm talking 4-6 per second periodically at idle and part throttle (around 20% - 30% or so). The highest I recorded on both plugs was 8 and that only happened once per cylinder. At WOT I am NOT having any misfire issues.

I did some research on zo6vette.com and found that the stock LS6 is aggressive as stock cams go and that having minor misfires at idle is normal.

Since the LS6 is basically a mild head/cam swap on an LS1, am I experiencing basic driveability issues that the tuning will help smooth out and I have no need to be concerned?

Why would I be experiencing problems on just #1 and #6?

If I had a burned wire, it would definitely show up at WOT, correct? I don't want to go in and change the wires if there's no need, and I'm not missing at all at WOT, so does that mean the wires are still good?

TIA!

I'm still on the stock LS1 coil packs.
