do i need o2 sims?

Default do i need o2 sims?

im install pacesetters with an offroad y on my 2000 trans am i have o2 extensions but i dont on plan on gettin a tune for a while some people are tellling me that i need o2 sims or i will run to lean is this true?

o2 sims are for the rear sensors, they have no affect on the air/fuel ratio , the front sensors take care of that , rears only measure the efficiency the cats are working at, which is why you need them when the cats are removed.

As long as you can live with the "Service Engine Soon" light you will be fine.

So the word about the ses light being on for those doesn't really effect performance? Someone was talking about cat protection or sumthing kicks in?

take it your talking about your rears....a "tune" isnt require to turn them off, just get some one with some software to turn them off....also sims have a tendancy to burn out after a while or short out....if anything not getting the car tune will cause it to run rich slightly....

Not just anyone can do it. You have to have a license for the car. So a shop will have to do it unless you know someone with the unlimited licenses.
