HELP FAST!! 02 sims problems

HELP FAST!! 02 sims problems Something weird is goin' on with my dad's '00 T/A. He put the 02 sims on and the car is acting up. 
1. When he puts his foot on the gas pedal the car seems to apply extra throttle at the same time, and the car jolts forward.
2. Car seems to have loss of HP
3. Check engine light is still on , from gutted cats
Any thoughts are appreciated,
