Headers for California
Headers for California As all of you know, or some of you at least, California's emmisions suck
I would like to get some headers but I hear I can't do anything to move the location of the cats. Can I buy Mac midlenghts, or do I have to settle for shorties. Are any shorties worth it, like Hooker? Anyone know if shorties with 1-3/4" primaries are even made? Thanks for any info!!!

Re: Headers for California Shorties are not worth it. The stock manifolds flow pretty good. You might see up to 3-5rwhp if that.
It depends on the shop you go to as far as passing. If they do not physically inspect it, youll be ok, otherwise you might be troubled with longtubes. I finaly found a guy in socal that passes with LT's, but before that i was given hell.

Re: Headers for California I am going to run longtubes with cats. Then if a shop really looks hard and see's the longtubes I am going to put the manifolds back on for smog then back to long tubes. I have seen people pass with cams and longtubes.Alot of smog shops have no clue where the stock cats are supposed to be located. And you will still pass the sniffer with lt's, cats, and tunning.
