mac mids and ORY install...
hey yall i just got done doing the dreaded header swap....i bought a set of used mac mids with a ORY that was in great condition for 200 bucks shipped to my door....well finally i got the nerve to do it and here are some thoughts...
* i used the writup from modern musclecar that parish wrote and everything in there worked great....only thing i had to sway from was i had to remove the steeing knuckle
* after removing the coil packs, passenger valve cover, plug wires, and steering knuckle the headers slipped right in like a charm no banging or anything.....i reused the stock hearder gaskets and they worked beautifully
* the Y pipe tucks very nicely and no banging on the floor board at any RPM...
* the back bolts on the manifolds are a real bitch but doable..
all in all it went fairly well and took me approximately 8 hours to do by myself and it was my first time..i have a very limited mechanical past so this was a big step for me....
the only questions i have now are when are the SES lights going to pop up? i drove it for about 5 miles and nothing....no cats=SES light i thought?....do 02 ws6s have EGR valves because it told me to remove them and where the picture showed the EGR there was nothing there?.....and would a tune do me any good right now....my other mods are Cat back, lid/filter, and short throw? thanks alot guys

The SES lights will show up after a few miles not sure how many, also no your 02 does not have EGR. A tune will benefit you a lot but it depends on your future mods, so you don't have to pay for a tune more then once if you don't have too.
