LS6 intake questions
what is an approximate horsepower difference between the LS1 and LS6 manifold. I don't plan on doing anything more then just bolt ons so i would like to know if its worth the $300.
what parts do i need to convert from an LS1 to an Ls6. can i use my fuel rails and so forth or do i need lots of parts from the Ls6?

Approximately a 10-20 HP gain. I've heard the car will pull harder up top (>3500rpm). I just bought a clean one off of eBay for $310.
You will need EGR/AIR blockoff plates. Speed Inc. sells a set for $14.
You will also need LS6 coolant crossover pipes. They go for about $40 from Texas Speed. You could also grind down the bottom of the manifold, but in my opinion why mess up something you paid $300 for. Also you don't want to ruin the resale value by doing this.
Some people say you can reuse stock gaskets, but I would just buy a set of Fel-Pro gaskets for around $25 from Speed Inc.
You can just bolt on the fuel rails.
Good luck
