Default Re-Installing A/C

I cant take it without A/C anymore..So me and my buddy are reinstalling my A/C i got a new complete A/C system from a friends car, and were installing it. Now besides bolting everything up, i heard you need oil or something for the compressor or something like that. I was just wondering if thats true or not? I never heard of that so thats why i was wondering. Also any other things that we should do before we put it on? Thanks

Pull a LONG vaccum on it...atleast 30 minutes...better if it could be on longer. Get all the moisture out. As for oil, I think Ester oil can be used in all compressors, but im sure someone will chime in and let you know if that is right or not.
