Default newbie question about lids

I tried to search, but no luck on finding an answer, so I feel stupid for asking this but...a friend of mine has a lid he wants to sell, but it has a whole in it for a dry shot no larger than 1/4" roung though he says. I was just wondering if it is ok to use a lid with a whole in it, would I loose power because of this or is it no big deal? Again sorry for such a newbie question.

You don't want an open hole like that in your lid. If you do get it make sure you plug it somehow.

Thanks a lot for the quick answer I appreciate it. I'll have to turn down his offer.

if the price is right...you could easily make a plug for it.

probably could use some epoxy or even a small bolt/washer.

1/4" isn't that big.

The lid I bought still had the dry nitrous ports on each side of it, vacuum caps have worked awesome for it. Run a bolt through it, silicone it, buttons for body panels would work too and probably look pretty clean from the outside.

Yeah buy it. its real easy to plug a hole. you can go to autozone or lowes and get grommets in any size to plug holes.
