i had a flowtech and loved it....the angle the cutouts are placed at determines clearance and most shops that install them are aware of this and will adjust accordingly

i dinged mine once on a very large speed bump. other than that, i've had my cutout on for at least 6 months and never had a problem. like posted above, it's all in the angle. it's the lowest part of my exhaust, but that's because i turned it on a big angle to minimize interior resonance. i can cruise at 80 mph with my cutout open (it's NEVER been closed, in fact i lost the cap and gasket ) without any problems.

Get a big F'n hammer. That's what I did. I did it nice though and then went back and painted it to look normal.

Yeah mine scrapes over speed bumps but its angled down too much and hangs 2 inches lower than the rest of my exhuast.

Go to http://www.installuniversity.com/ins...sity/index.htm.
And look at figure number 4. If you mount it their you will have no clearence problems. Ill probley move mine their just not sure if its gonna be any quieter.

 wonder if you angled the cut-out higher, then attached a small turndown to it if that would help clearance?
