I would have your drive shaft rebalanced and also check the to make sure all is in line from the output shaft of the trans to the pinon of the rear.. many have used those home laser tools to check.

If your getting a vibration.. something is off, the rubber mounts just hide it and the Poly one just brought it to your attention. It will also bring out any mis-balancing of the engine a bit too. I have some in my 84' Z28.. between 2300 and 2500.. I just drive right through that range.. it is only a problem that I notice it if I have to cruz in that range.

There was a metal plate that comes with the ES poly trans mount that I didn't use because it was said to cause vibration. Mine seems fine, and this and a poly Torque Arm got rid of my y-pipe banging on the floor.

the Energy Suspension mounts also come with that base plate, it is used to spead or handle the Torque for the mount, without it, the poly mount many start to seperate.

I keep hearing this vibration problem, but I never experianced it. I have poly trans mount and now engine mounts(easy with the header install). I really dont get that much of any vibration that I can associate with the mounts.

The engine mounts were pretty straight forward. You do need to drill your old ones apart and seperate the rubber and re-use the metal parts. The mounts come with bolts and good instructions. Took about an hour extra.

nope sure don't. maybe I should invest in one. what would throw my pinion angle off to cause that though?

Well I was just gonna bump this... about 400 miles on it, and actually the vibration has decreased noticeably. It does it a little around 2k RPM, but nowhere NEAR as violently as it used to. Car likes to take off more now when I plant it. I don't know why it went away I was skeptical that it would, but here I am. I'll report in another 500 miles when I change the oil. Thanks.

I dont see how it could be pinion angle because in park there is nothing rotating. I actually drove a car today with a Polly trans mount that created a vibration. Mine doesnt, but his does, and pretty bad. I would also gues that an automatic would vibrate more in gear than a 6 speed, especially in gear.

this is true. my buddies auto vibrated far more than mine did. if you have less than 1k miles on teh mount. report back then, i really think you should give it a chance. i'm glad i did

My energy suspension poly mount vibrated a ton at first. after checking it out turns out the mount is a lot taller than stock and the trans was just touching the tunnel.. so I put a couple washers to space the crossmember down and the vibration was just about gone. Probably be going back to stock or getting a prothane one instead as they look to be the correct height for the f-bodes because the Energy one is way too tall.

I got both poly in the tranny and motor mounts and the vibration is hardly noticeable. Ive had the motor mounts for almost a year in now....
