You definitely want to check out this site before purchasing an exhaust for your LS1:

I have the borla exhaust. I LOVE it but if I had to do it all over again, I would have gone with bassani tue duals or a custom true dual setup with an x-pipe

Some people love them and others hate them. I love them, Ive had it on 3 of my 5 f-bodies. Theres a clip of my car in my sig if you want to check it out. Keep your eye out in the for sale section, you can pick them up used for about $300-$400.

the borla exhaust is very...unique...you absolutely HAVE to hear it before you buy it. you will either love it or hate it.

personally, i really don't care for it at all. i heard it once on a black WS6. i saw the tips and purposely waited for him to pull away so i could hear it. i have no idea what plate he was running, but it sounded absolutely horrible IMO. i've never heard an LS1 make a noise even close to that, and it turned my stomach a little bit.

it's a very raspy catback if you're going to put open plates in it, so be warned. it's one of those "try before you buy" purchases. it's probably the most controversial catbacks out there.

Its very harsh sounding with ORY. I had one on my car when I bought it. It went up for sale the same week. Im not sure if they changed the brackets but they are not stainless so they end up rusting like a ****. This exhaust is way overpriced IMO.

I build alot of exhaust for these cars as well as install various brands of catbacks. The only cataback I would buy is a Hooker or Magnaflow. There are nicer ones out there but I wouldnt for out that kinda dough for one.

had it on the wife's car until the interior resonance got too bad after removing the cats. swapped from the borla and bassani y-pipe to the bassani tru-duals and picked up 15 rwhp more. so, if you are going to spend 9 bills, might as well go with the better of the two.
