Default Mail order tune for LT's & ORY ok?

What would ya'll think on a mail order tune for headers and an ory? I know its not something as radical as a cam/heads tune.

What's the price on a mail order as compared to a full dyno?

you would probably be better off with a cheap hand held programmer
with such simple mods or just get efilive.
you will pay good money for a mail tune that may not be right and have no way to change it.

try this one: http://www.trifectaperformance.com/ if you have any problems they can email you a new tune before you send it back. that way you wont have to wait for a computer to be shipped to you. dont waste your money on a handheld, a custom tune will always be better, and you can delete your air.

I recently installed headers and a y-pipe and had my PCM tuned at pcmforless. Brian did a great job and turned it around fast. I mailed him my PCM on a Monday and I had it back by Friday. I like the changes he made and car runs better than ever.

Should be fine. Don't even NEED a tune with them most of the time, besides codes and such.

You should save your money and buy yourself a tuning suite. You'll be able to do a basic tune and delete codes easily, then take it as far as you want. If you get bored or find out it's not your thing, sell it and you'll be out less than a mail order tune costs.

Ive never had any problems with my mail order tunes. I just got my done by Mad Z28 not too long ago and love it. I have used Mad Z28 and PCM for less for tuning on both of my Camaro's. They are both great companys. Both companys let you reprogram your PCM for $50 after that I wouldn't recomend a handheld, there Crap IMO. I think a Dyno tune is needed if your making 380+ RWHP or doing Head's and or Cam.

Maybe it's who I had to my mailorder tuning, but it was only good for deleting the necessary codes. The tune for my headers was pretty crappy and the service was just not something I liked. I like the idea of picking up a tuning suit since I like to tinker and there are a lot of choices out there. I'm a believer in dyno tuning but I haven't had experience with another mailorder tuner after my original tuner.

Good luck.
