Default removing the steering joint for LT?

I'm doing a H/C swap and don't want the headers hanging and bumping against the block where the heads mate while I'm towing. Anyways my question is which bolt do I remove to undo the joint? Sorry my search button is not working. I went to LS1howto.com and just saw C5 R&I. What's the best idea to remove the passenger side? Thanks, joe

Chris and I removed both bolts and took the joint completely out. I think the bolts are two different sizes, so you won't screw it up getting it back in.

the bolts are actually the same size, they are both 11mm i believe. take the top one out, then the bottom, then get underneath with a hammer and screwdriver and knock upwards on the bottom of the linkage to knock it loose. then u can just pull it off.

u wont have a problem on the passenger side. the header will be able to lay far enough to the left side of the bay to pull the head off. on both of my head/cam swaps, for the drivers side i just had to unbolt the steering linkage and let the headers drop just an inch or two and rest to the side on the body.

Well I'm towing the car so I don't want the LT dragging so that's why I want to remove them.
