Default Banging exhaust

Took off my electronic cut outs and now my exhaust is banging whenever I smash the gas. I have SLP long tubes with ORY and flowmaster catback. Any one know the common problem with this. Where is it hitting where should I look.

You may need one of these:

LS1 Y-Pipe "Bump Stop" Hanger

Look at your transmission cross member where the y-pipe starts to come together. I have an M6 and my y was hitting the crossmember where there was two flanges with holes in them. I'm guessing they were for an auto so I cut them off with an angle grinder.

Then look at the y after it's merged. The was an area were it started hitting my passenger floor board. I wrapped a thick piece of high temp silicone around that.

Even if it's not touching when you inspect it you'll see little black marks on the body and the pipes and that's where it is hitting. You should be able to lay on your back and push the y/i pipes up and down until you can locate the problem areas.
