Best Muffler

Best Muffler Could any of you'se guys recommend a replacement muffler on a stock system with cats (2002).
Lookin for some rumble that's not too loud or quiet.
Had a magnaflow but it was too quiet.Changed to Dynomax Superturbo which got a little louder after a few miles but it came apart inside and started to rattle something awful. Thought about maybe an ULTRAFLOW or HOOKER. I know about Corsa & GMMG but they are just too proud of them,same with the loudmouth.
Anybody ?

Maybe you mis-read the part about $ 1000.00 cat backs being a little rich for my needs . Besides I here that system runs on the quiet side of the spectrum. But at least you took the time to give an answer. Thanks.

Somewhere on here I read where we would not gain much if any with mid-length / shorty headers on an 02 because of the improvements the factory made to the exhaust manifolds that last year. Does anybody know for sure cause as much as I like headers I've always hated header leaks on all of my other cars & trucks .

For sound, flo/power, and value for the money your best bet is Hooker.
If your looking for a shiny show appearance and have a little more to spend I think magnaflo is the choice.
BTW.. My 01 SS made 570 Rwhp with the closed Hooker cat back. With the 3" cut out wide open it made one extra Hp and lost 4 Tq. Needless to say, I was impressed with it.

but i have a b&b catback system i could sale if ur interested let me know if u are. its got a cut out welded before the muffler just incase u ever want it louder but dont want to add headers or cut the cats out...

I want to stay with the stock manifolds & cats. Just looking for the best flowing & sounding muffler replacement. Tired of the heavy fuel smell without the cats & tired of the exhaust leaks with headers .Been there & have done all of that , now I just want a good sounding cruiser.
