Checked for leaks.
Pulled off all the hoses.
One was very very loose and some little sensor looking thing was hanging out.
It connected to the back top of the manifold.

I also cleaned the TB

I will see what she does tommorow.
Thanx guys!!!

And the air cond just came out of every vent, with warm air?
That happened out of no where too. It worked fine a month ago.

I have an 90 Lsx with the direct port.

Hopefully thats a last resort, along with the other broken heads post

i believe thats a knock sensor but i'm probably wrong . . . but when i put my LS6 on i made sure not to brake that sensor, but i broke the oil sending unit in half hahahaha.

how long has it been on your LS1? when you untorque them, look at the sequence and go in reverse. totally un-do them then torque them back down in sequence. pulling it off isn't that bad, i actually like doin it cause it only take me 2 hours to take it off and put it back on. good luck!

That sensor that was loose was the MAP sensor.
What the hell does that do?

Also, my lsx intake was barely hand tight.
I need to go buy a tq wrench and get that right.

So, as of right now, its still idles high...................

That is prob one of the, if not THE most important sensors controlling fueling and other things.
that is definitely my pick for all your woes.

It sounds like ALOT of things were missed when your FAST was installed.
Pinched AC lines, loose runner gaskets, MAP loose, untorqued Manifold bolts, are all potentials.
I'd recheck, if not re-do the whole LSX install, but that's just me.
Why it would just now start freaking out.. I suppose the MAP could have just wobbled out and the AC line wiggled off..

FYI, the MAP is clasically loose on the LSX intakes.
Guys have tried RTV and newer thicker grommets to tighten up the fit.
I wrapped mine in a couple rounds of teflon tape to make it more snug.

I cannot get the MAP to sit in its damn hole.

I made a small hairline crack on the top front of my intake
Its small enough that some gorilla glue should fix it.

I re-checked all the lines.

I am about done with it.
My hands are tore up.
Cant see or find **** behind this engine

P.S where is the AC line. I am sure of the MAP now, but want to be sure I have found and checked the AC line.

There is a 'T' fitting that connects to the one circled in red.
And should look very similar to the one below when connected.

I'd say try replacing the TPS (throttle position sensor), like someone else said earlier. I had a similar intermittent high idle problem with my 5.3. It finally gave me a clue by throwing a TPS code. Since replacing it, the motor idles nice and low all the time.

Are there any codes? Have you tried the idle relearn procedure? You said you have nitrous do you have a wet kit? If so it is possible that when you installed this gauge that you created a larger hole and it allows un-metered air to enter. Get yourself some carb cleaner and check for vac leaks. It's possible that a hole has just worn into one of the hoses and you are not aware of it. Also, this could be a faulty injector dumping extra fuel. If you have hp tuners hook that up and see whats going on.
