Default fipk back to lid?

Im getting ready to get the lower air intake assembly off a 00' firebird and i have the fipk is there any parts i need to make sure i get for this transiton? i dont have any emmisions equipment on her so do i just buy the lid without that hook up and plug that sensor in and thats it>

you need the lower air box, the bolts that hold down your K&N lower assembly will work on your lower air box, you will need the bellows that goes between the MAF and TB. the one from your K&N will work, but im sure if you sell it the buyer will want it. good choice BTW, K&N FIPK sucks for these cars.

yeah thats the same thing i was thinking. square filter being the best for a mass flow of air and where it finds the air. thanks just double checking before

for a Z28/Trans Am, it sucks. the only place its getting air from is the hot motor. now for a SS/WS6, i could see it being more effective, however, a good lid with a good ram air setup like the FTRA, SSRA, BGRA, or SLP system is miles better than the K&N FIPK.
