Just buy bigger rivets and you can reattach it.

the water will just go up to the airbox and the little that gets on the filter will evaporate off .

Ok, well thanks for the confidence guys . I guess i'll try not to worry about it and just leave it how it is. It was absolutely pouring the other night when I was getting ready to come home so I just popped the hood and pulled out my seal, so now I have to go put that back in too.... . Oh well. Thanks

A friend of mine just cut up 2 sponges and sticks them in there when it rains, seems to work well for him.
