Default Do I need to install my Manual fan switch?

Ok here's the deal. Bought the fan switch with the 160 degree thermostat. but I had the computer tuned to turn the fans on earlier. Would it benefit me any to install the switch? I'm sure it would at the track to keep the engine cooler, but I haven't been to the track for 3 years. I would like to go more often but most likely will not be there very much. Just wanting to find out before I wire in the line lock so I can wire both at once. What do you guys think? Should I just sell it or just throw it in incase I need it sometime?

put it on, why not, u never kno when ull b stuck in 100*f traffic and u might want to manually put the fans on high.

had it happen to me this 4th of july, i was stuck in 110*f for 2 hours and my temps started rising flipped the switch and just kept them on, i also have them tuned to turn on early, also u can benifit at the track, ur already getting a line lock i suppose for the track so why not wire the fans switches as well

I'm in the same boat. I bought the switch before realizing that you should get a lower thermo and a tune. I think I'll still install it so I can fire them up manually whenever I want.

I just put mine in today, and it works nicely, even in 95* heat sitting in traffic.

It ought to help a lot at the track.

And all for less than $15 in parts.
