Simple Ls1 mods
lid $100, catback $300- $1000,they just sound diff, next free ram air or i purchased SLP cold air $125. this involves cutting the plastic base under air lid and filter, back close to radiator. on my 99 egr sticks /hangs down. can be trimmed for better air flow near throttle body on intake. install university website shows how. after these my opinion is sub frame connectors, lca's lower control arms, panhard bar these suspention mods will give you better traction because no wheel hop. just my 2 cents super chevy mag may 2004 had an article ls1 do's and donts. check that out.

As mentioned, lid, porting your throttle body, catback exhaust, lca's for handling ($200), cutting up the EGR, shift skip, if it's a 6 speed you can do the drill mod for consistent shifting, find a friend with HPTuners (with a 98 license) and do some quick hits to maximize tuning (helps even when stock).

Verdad Gallardo install univ has step by step picture instructions i used myself. that said loosen the 2 bolts on intake manifold where tube attaches near throttle body. then (put down towel ) and cut the thin metal 1.5 inch round EGR with dremmel or hack saw. then i used a file to smooth ruff edges. put back in place and 2 bolts. wa la!
