Default Suggestions for duals

I plan on going with Pacesetter LT's, Cats for emissions, and probably the TSP Rumbler X Duals. I want maximum loudness without sounding raspy or like a tractor trailer. Which mufflers would you suggest for this kind of a setup?

I run the sweet thunder's and I've never heard them rasp in the slightest. I'd say they're the mid range of the three muffler options.

It does drone/resonate at a certain lower RPM (2300ish) but I have no qualms with that.

BTW, the kit bolts straight up easy to Pacesetter's.

I've heard sweet thunders are probably the best choice. Im not too concerned with the drone, I can live with that. Can you run the factory cats off of the pacesetters or do I need to get some high flows?

I've gone through way too many different muffler setups on my car, and I'm happiest with my current true duals with the Flowtech Raptor mufflers. Just throwing that option out there for ya

Another vote for ST's here. I've thought about swapping to some Borla XR1's, but I like the bark of the ST's and they sound so choppy at idle with a stock cam. I can't wait to here them with the TR230 that's going in next week.

Factory cats are weird shaped and use a three stud flange so you have to use high flows.

Shouldn't be too hard to find, I like Magnaflow.

Is that with or without cats? I need to pass emissions, colorado is almost like California in terms of requirements.

Im guessing I'd have to weld the cats up between the LT's and the Rumbler right?

You would probably put the cats further towards the x pipe than the headers.

Hmm im wondering if it would just better to get custom duals done instead of just getting the TSP duals. Guess its time to start getting quotes.

I think its time for TSP to start offering 1 chamber flowmasters. It would be a simple mod to their system they have now. Just a 45* bend at the rear floorpan and the mufflers have a higher spot to accomodate them.

Im actually waiting for the system right now should come in tomorrow Monday 8/6 then the band clamps on Wedsday, I ordered them with the sweet thunders also. From what Ive read it seems a lot of people go with the flowaster single chambers too. Whatever you decide to go with good luck. My advise is stick with the sweet thunders.
