Default Biggest diameter to bore stock throttle body?

What's the biggest I can bore the stock TB to without hitting coolant/sensor passages?
I know I'll need to make a new throttle plate.

Default Re: Biggest diameter to bore stock throttle body?

I have a bridgeport (well okay a lot of em ) and a lathe (lot of them too). So it will cost me nothing. So the question is- is a 78 MM throtle body worth 2-3 hours of my time to do?
If it is I'll do it, and may offer the service to board members for a couple of bucks (once I make the fixture it won't take long to bore and to make throttle plates.

I'm puttin' on a LS6 manifold so I'll be able to match the TB to the manifold before the install.

By the way my shop is www.schultes.com
