cut out???

Default cut out???

has anyone ever had any problems wit bckfiring?? i have a 98z bout 150k miles on it and whn im on the high way it back fires alot whn i let go of the gas and give gas right away its tht normal?? any sggstions??

Depends on how far back your cut-out is and how rich a tune you have. Stock tunes seem to be on the conservative side. I would point fingers there to start.

Are you sure it's a backfire, not just the usual popping sounds?

More than likely just the normal popping sounds that most fbods have including mine. I had a cutout on my 98 and it did it also. The gmmg does it when it is cold in the 02.

Yea, I have yet to hear one that doesn't pop while decellerating.

Yeah any car that suddenly has alot less backpressure on a stock tune, seems to pop alot.
