part in the pic is the EVAP solenoid, it's part of the emissions system.
That part number is an LS1 intake, you have stock heads and stock LS1 intake.
Still by the way it seems thrown back together and has an SD tune with the EGR blocked off it looks like it was de-modded before being traded in. i'd bet he had an LS6 or FAST intake on it without EGR and just blocked the tube off when he put it all back in there so it would look like it had EGR.
