I put a couple Hooker resonator tips on mine and it smoothed things out quite a bit. I was suprised how much they helped my rasp. They wont get rid of it but they definately help. Got them from Jegs, $30 each.

No my exhaust had a x-pipe and man that thing was loud and raspy, but it may have been due to the brand of mufflers.. I don't know what they were though.
BTW sorry if all the replies I had in this thread came out mean or dickheadish.. I had my wisdom teeth removed and was really grouchy last week haha. All better this week though.

I have the same problem. My car is a heads/cam car with pacesetters, tsp ory and magnaflow catback. It sounds horrible when on the gas; like a big 10 chevy truck with glasspacks. I can't stand it. I'm going to put a loudmouth muffler in the I pipe and see how that sounds. Should have it installed sometime this week.
Personally, I think the SLP Dual/Dual exhaust has the least rasp of any aftermarket exhaust. Even without cats it seems to have almost 0 rasp.
The only other catless combo that sounds raspless to me is true duals with flowmaster mufflers.

i hope that's true because today/tomorrow i'll be installing my xs headers/ory on my dual/dual system. when it's done i'll take her for a drive and see just how "raspy" it really is.
