Default Xs Header Install

We'll I finally had a dry day to get this puppy in the air and yank the ol'pacesetters. I have not yet attached the y-pipe and can see I will have to do what many others have and notch or dent the y-pipe a little @ the d/s collector/ otherwise these headers slipped right in w/no issues
no notching, no grinding, and no foul language was needed to bolt them up.

2 thumbs up for x/s headers, buy them again I would

i installed these headers and y pipe on a friends car and they were horrible, mostly the y pipe. man was it a pain on the drivers side i dont know y they just dont fix them. also the holes in the header flanges werent drilled square and the manifold bolt on both rear and and front bolt holes on each flange were crooked and had to take more time then needed to get them to go in straight! if i bought these i would have not been happy with them! im happy with both sets of my pacesetters and y pipe! fit much better!

they do look great though! lol

Well obviously you are one of the very few to have a bad time putting these headers in, sorry to hear about your troubles but no need to get angry because you got ripped on your pacesetters hahaha j/k. Just a lil XS fun

I'm with you, man, on every point ... except it's not the Y pipe, its the driver's side collector being cocked upwards that's the problem. The only other install I've participated in was Pacesetters, and although it was harder to get the ds header up into position, once it was there, that was the end of issues. On the XS, the rear bolt hole was off, had to grind the K-member, Y-pipe hit the floorboard, etc., etc., etc.

I like the fact that my A/C evaporator is dripping on to stainless rather than eating away coating and rusting the header out. I'll like it when I'm driving in snow and salt this winter. But when it comes to fitment and quality control, Pacesetters hands down.

lol yup exactly the bolt holes were def. a little off and ur correct about the collecter its like they welded it on upside down or something wierd and the drivers side is touching the k member as well!

and i love both sets of my pacesetters(2 cars) they were easy and u dont have to worry about rusting up in northern cali!

The collector is fine as is, just need to modify the y pipe. I think they really need to change the Ys design. No issues with my modified Texas Speed Y pipe.

Why dont you stay the **** out of the XS threads. All you have is nothing but negitive feedback. Ive been warned to stay out of QTP threads, so I think you need to quit with the XS stuff. Someone is listening to the feedback

Cause that was my experience with em
and all I ever read about here is Y pipes not fitting but if you wanna be a **** and not let us speak of our experiences with so be it. I've always said the headers are great.
