$@^%# My Kooks!!!
And well I can not get the driver side to go on! I have tried about everything other than pulling out the motor!
Has anyone else had a problem?
Any ideas?
PLEASE HELP!!!!
Best advice I can give you without any info about your problem is to make sure the header is standing straight up and you have at least 3 feet of ground clearance.

seriously...I had no problem really at all with my edel. coated 1-7/8" headers....[EDELBROCK has been around 80 or so years..]
you have to take out both bolts and raise the motor straight up.. way up.. just keep an eye on the hose on the PS pump. it can easily come off and dump PS fluid all over.
I had the same problem with my 1 7/8's kooks. I ended up trying a bunch of wried angles and it went in.. seriously take the header completely out and try really strange angles and directions.. I think mine slipped in standing almost straight up.
I had to take the alternator out so I could get the motor mount main bolt out.. then I had to unbolt the motor mount that attaches to the frame.. then I got the header to fit in.... it was well yeah a major pain in the @$$!!! to much for a header!
but it's in and sounds good.

thanks for all the help everyone!
ooo yeah I was just wondering if anyont elses headers hit the K member? or under the the car its self..
I have QTPs and had to do a little grinding but I'm finding maybe I had a collapsed tranny mount. I also think the last time I unbolted the engine from the craddle I didn't leave in the same place I started.
I wouldn't be suprised if you had a clearance problem with the larger primaries. I do hope it works out for you though.
Good luck.
fwiw i put in stepped edelbrock headers and never had a problem they basically slid right in... there not SS tho
