Ran into a snag Pulling Motor Hello,
So I have decided to pull my motor through the top, and what a pain. I knew this was not going to be easy. So here is my problem. The engine hoist that I purchased doesn't clear the front plastic bumper on my camaro. How would I take off the front bumper.

The hoist doesn't have an extendable boom?
I pulled one through the top with the hood on, it was a parts car so I don't remember how careful I was.
Do the wheels on the hoist spin 360 degrees? If so you could take the hood off and put the hoist on the side, maybe take the tire off and put a jackstand somewhere.
Taking the front off is a pain in the ***.
I'd rather go to Lowes (around here they have rental stores in them) costs $42 to rent a good hoist, it would save the headache and possible paint damage of taking the front off.
