I haven't heard it yet with heads/cam yet either. As my sig states, my **** is tore apart right now. Here is a current pic. I'm working on scraping the gaskets and cleaning bolt holes now. I am FIENDING to hear it with the heads/cam/intake on. Going from stock cam/stock heads/LS6 intake to the mods I have planned will be

The GMMG with stock manifolds is awesome. That was my setup for years. It's very tame at low RPM's and nice and loud at WOT. There's also no resonance while cruising. You won't gain much by putting a cutout before a GMMG. LT's are a different story.

Wow sweetbone, really nice vids. The digital quality isn't even all that bad, audio is amazing... Although i like the sounds of your ride, this'll be my Daily drive, and i don't want it to sound that ferocious (plus i don't think i'm allowed LT's in NY; emission). Good luck on the whole restoration....

Yea, some say their isn't any rasp, some say they can hear it. But altogether it's in regards to high rpms, not my worries at all. When you say gain, do you mean soundwise or hp?

well..if u get a QTEC you can have it INSANELY LOUD if u want...thats really all I was saying/meant...

By gain I was talking about HP. You might free up a couple ponies by putting in a cutout before a GMMG on stock manifolds, but that's probably about it. As far as rasp, it's non-existant with the GMMG on stock manifolds & Y, or LT's and a catted Y. You may get some rasp with LT's and an ORY, but I haven't heard such a setup in person so I couldn't tell ya. Just what I heard. It must sound badass though.

AR Headers / high-flow cats / GMMG is the exhaust of choice in my opinion:

That sounds real nice. One day i'll get some headers But i love the way my GMMG sounds on stock manifolds and there is no way i would put a cut out in it unless you just like it loud with no tone.

I wouldn't even consider a cutout. Listen to a GMMG in Person, it'll completely change your mind, and you're not making enough power to make enough of a difference between the GMMG and an open cutout. I'd say GMMG, it's just perfect. and it's shiny.
