if you like loud, then get a cutout too and put it after the ypipe. that is your best bet, duals are very loud, especially dumped but I guess everyone has their view of "loud".

i'm getting a QTP cutout, and possibly ordering 3" corsa clones for it because i don't want single pipes anymore

I must have some kind of prototype Magnaflow then...lol.

I've had several Mustangs in the past, the last one had 1-3/4" headers, X pipe and Magnaflow catback and my Camaro's Magnaflow catback is easily louder...and for sale as of today, actually.

Probably going to a TD setup? I like the sound of the magnaflow, its loud when you need it to be. and with the cutout, it just sounds unforgiving.

Actually, and 100% honestly speaking...it's too loud for my taste. I cannot stand a car that sounds like it's going twice as fast as it actually is...some people love that. I probably liked it myself, 20 years ago. With the 3600 stall, it's just annoying to me. Sounds great at WOT, but how often do we drive there? I re-installed the stock catback. I had a Borla adjustable catback originally. Needless to say, it's also long gone.

I'd like to go with true duals, but think the dumped exhausts look cheap, and from having one on another car in the past, I know it's too damn loud inside the car. If there was a good sounding over the axle true dual setup, that was also realistically priced, I'd probably buy it. For now, I'm back to stock SS catback with JetHot longtubes and ORY...

For anyone who may be interested...

If you're looking for a true dual setup you might want to look into the bassani. I've heard good things about it. It goes through a single muffler but it's a dual in-out and is around $700-800ish over the axle. Replaces the stock Y and catback, so it's not a bad price. I would have gone that direction but I'm a '98 and my passenger cat is farther from the manifold so it won't bolt up without modification.

There's someone on here who highly praises that setup, but I'm not a fan of how that right tailpipe has to loop around from the left side of the muffler. I think they're designed for stock manifolds/cats anyway, so I'd also have to modify that setup to bolt on to my longtubes.

i have a LT magnaflow set up and honestly if you like loud dont go with magnaflow or youll be upset. IMO magnaflow is a little on the quiet side and i wish it were just a little louder. The comment made about the magnaflow on the mustang and camaro dont compare is true. The magnaflow on camaros is much quieter than mustangs with a catback. If i were you i would go with something a bit more louder such as gmmg or corsa but with cats. I personally like my setup rate now with cats...sounds good and everything but it would be nicer if it were a tad louder at part throttle

if you are not too worried about longevity, tsp has a rumbler cat back...it is the same principal as a loudmouth but instead it has a dynomax bullet in there. i was actually supprised at the sound as well as the quality of the sound...it was alot less raspy than an slp....but loud enough to satisfy........but as of right now i have a set of pace setters..3 inch off road y and a 2 and 1/2 inch chambered muffler dumped before the axle... i love it.....

I've got LT's with the magnaflow and love it! I put an electric cutout on so I can make it loud when I want and then quiet when I want. Absolutely love it. To the OP, yes, it's very quiet.

Very quiet, with stock manifolds, I have an ory and it is still quiet. If you like quiet this is the system for you.
