Either one would be a good brand. It really depends on what the lift on the cam is that you want.

Do they help the engine rev a little better?

i was told that all roller rockers do is give your valves more lift to make the engine think it has a small cam it makes it breath better which may help it rev faster but nothing compared to a cam

roller rockers work in several ways.

the roller bearings reduce friction, which increases engine performance...ie hp

higher lift increase the efficiency of the air flow into the cylinder...increasing performance...ie hp

most RR are stiffer than stamped steel (although LSx are cast) which can lead to a more rigid valvetrain with less chance of breaking and more accurate mechanical movements....possibly increasing efficiency...so maybe a little hp

i suppose with all these combined, its possible that the engine will rev faster...but probably not enough to notice.

Go with what your cam recommends. I was told higher ratio rockers put more stress on your drivetrain because more load is now being applied to the pushrods, the lifters, and the face of the camshaft so you may want to look into that. The higher ratio will in fact give you alittle more lift and duration. For the price of them you may want to spend your money elsewhere. But if you do go this route you should get new springs because the lift will increase and the rate at which the valve comes off the seat.

Cams with more agressive ramp rates cannot be used with high ratio rockers.

The manufacturer should state whether it can or cannot be used in the cam description.

Little fyi i put the slp 1.85 on my bolt on only car and i could not tell a difference. At the track i only gained a tenth with them so they did do something but i could not feel it. I have an 02 so i did not have to change the springs.

What would having an 02 do with not having to change the springs? Just curious
