Would need a better description of the broken bolt and pictures.. but the normal tools are a drill and ez-out. If the bolt is not stuck, you can sometimes take a pick and try and spin it out.

good luck

Put some grease on the drill bit and it will collect most of the shavings for you.

Very good tip and also put some rags around to catch the excess shavings, bit don't get the drill bit in them, they will go everywhere.

thanks yall, the grease trick worked great, along with a magnet from an old speaker, and a vacuum with a straw duct taped to it got up about 99% of teh visible shavings. im gonna change the oil next week too. until then i have to wait to find some more bolts. Advance auto doesnt have them so i think ill have to go to a dealer, unless any of yall have 2 extras lying around? here are some pics before i go to work, not sure if you can see tehm very well.

now the new problem:

i drilled the first two bolts out and there was no problem. the third one was up under the cowl and the bit broke off in the blt hole, and its not coming out. ive tried about everything but i cant get it out. my question is, is it okay to have just three bolts holding the valve cover on? the back and front are still fine, just the one on the passenger side right under the cowl. the bit isnt coming out either, its wedged in there pretty tight. Yall have been a great help so far, so please help now!
