LS6 intake gasket question - pics
LS6 intake gasket question - pics I bought this LS6 intake which was listed as PN # 88894339. The GMPartsDirect description says this:

Here are my questions:
*I see what do look like "seals" on the intake - the grayish ones on the bottom and the orange one on the TB. However I do not see a gasket as I know it, and a google search of the gasket PN shows pictures that look like nothing I have. Did I get the gasket that the part description looks like?
*Is that the MAP sensor that I see on the back of the intake?
*Am I missing anything else that should have come in this "brand new from GM" package? The big thing I think is the gasket, which I wouldn't care about but the PN they list above goes for like $50....ugh
This is the Gen 3 fuel injection manifold used on 2001-04 RPO LS1 and LS6 Corvette/Camaro/Firebird engines. This kit includes the intake manifold, intake seal P/N 12560251, intake manifold gasket kit P/N 12533587, throttle body seal P/N 12552542, map sensor P/N 16212460, map sensor seal P/N 16194007.

IMO the seals are better than the traditional gaskets. Install that bish and enjoy.
