borla owners!

I just bought a used borla catback off a member here and was just wondering who is running borla with the straight pipe instead of the muffler? please post some sound clips of both {with and without} . thanks guys

I run mine wide open. Check out ls1sounds. You can hear borla's stock, LT's, ORY, catted Y, cam only and H/C setups.

I run mine wide open as well but I'm waiting on my transmission from Performabuilt so no clip at the moment. I like the way it sounds, loud.

I used to have one, its loud. Sounds great at WOT, but under part throttle there's a pretty noticeable rasp in the low-midrange.

I'm not running a plate in my borla, anyone ever cut the muffler off and run single tip, i've contempated it for a while since it's just extra weight but I want a picture of it done to judge off of

i actually did this on my 97,i just ran it strait upen from the adjustable plate with no right side at all. it was pretty loud but i had long tubes on it at the same time...

i have h/c lt ory borla and i run the middle plate it just as loud and it doesn't rasp as much, i actually ran a tenth faster with it in. i'm actually gonna swap it out for a slp powerflo. if that sounds the way i want it then i'll keep it, if not back to the borla. i actally was gonna keep the borla setup and swap the muffle and driver side tail pipe with a slp 2OTL with borla tips but the 2OTL is hard to get now
