Stock Heads Question I was wondering if anyone has ported and polished your stock heads. If so, what gains have you seen? I know it would be "easier" to just buy new heads but I am on a tight budget right now.

I haven't done this yet, but if you are a novice and never ported heads before, you may consider just waiting until you have the money to have it done, or simply replace them altogether. It's a big job and at least to me, if I do do it, I want to do it right the first time.
Have you thought about picking up some 317 heads and having them milled to bring the compression up?
