Default Lid question

Hey I picked up a used SLP lid from a guy with a '98 LS1. I have a '00 LS1, is there going to be any compatibility issue or will it work? Thanks.

So they're the same lid? Cause I looked at lids online and I believe they sold 98/99's together and 00-02's together.

I'll have to check and see if there's an inlet hose on the drivers side tomorrow. I'm also installing LT's w/ a catless y-pipe so I'm not sure if that makes any difference since I'm planning on getting rid of the AIR and EGR crap.

Not to hi-jack!

But what is that hose for?

I am... Erm... Was about to order a lid minutes ago, until I saw the difference in the years.

My car is a 2002, but I plan on deleting all the AIR stuff and such.

Also order will be w/ QTP race headers, if it matters.

Thanks,
Brandon

that hose is for the AIR system, so if youre deleting it then get one without that connection. My GMS lid didnt have anything for the hose, i guess it came with a separate little filter.

i'll take a pic in a little bit and show you what i put in place of that hose . . . as for that hose and every smog hose under my hood, there all in a box in the garage the engine bay looks less cluttered up

Thanks for the response!

So I guess since I am deleting that AIR stuff, I will be fine with a 98-99 lid. I was looking at the MTI clear lid, and the one without that inlet it nearly 20 dollars cheaper. Guess it will work for me!

TTT for OP

Thanks guys!
