Default Which intake for my LQ4 build?

I do not have a TB and currently have the truck intake.
I am using 317 heads, I will change out the intake valves. springs, rockers.
The goal is 500rwhp.

I have several combinations I have been thinking about:
combination 1 ::
LS6 intake (possible the SLP version) and a LS1 TB
combination 2 ::
LS6 intake (possible the SLP version) and a 96mm Performance Products 3 bolt TB
combination 3 ::
LS2 intake and TB (I think this is no go....)
combination 4 ::
Performance Products LS2 intake and 96mm LS2 Performance Products TB
combination 5 ::
Fast 90/90 (ported of course) over kill for my application?
combination 6 ::
L92 intake and TB (replace the 317 heads, not worth it?)
combination 7 ::
something else

I am leaning towards combination 1 or 2

L92 will not work because the ports will not line up to the 317 heads, 317 cathedral, L92 rectangle.

From looking around here and other sites it seems that the LS2 stock intake flows the worst out of all stock intakes.

Are you using a throttle cable or throttle by wire? If you need a cable one I have access to a brand new complete truck intake with the cable throttle body, injectors, rails from truck. Make an offer.

I have a complete 05 LQ4 truck setup, which is drive by wire or throttle by wire ?
I am confused on the stock applications that used drive by wire.
I don't have the pedal assembly so I have to convert to a cable setup?
Do any factory engines use a cable setup?

2005 is throttle by wire. You can stick with the throttle by wire if you get the pedal, module and wiring harness.

If you want to change to cable operated, you will need the cable from a 2002 or older truck and a throttle body like I have for sale or buy an aftermarket tb.

Can you seriously make 500 whp just by putting on 317 heads and an LS6 intake? I'm trying to find a build for 500 whp with an LQ4 and that'd be friggin awesome news.

I don't think you can. The dished pistons make it harder. You will need to mill the heads, get thiner head gaskets, perfect cam, Fast 90 90, long tubes. Stock it only has 320 or so at 9.2-9.4:1 compression ratio.

Like 69LT1Bird said, I think if you put the ls6 intake on there it would be the weak link in your setup. It would end up choking your cam which im sure is going to be big. I think to get 500rwhp you need to take the 317's and get a cnc job and also have them milled to bring your compression up. I would go with the ported fast 90/90 and never look back.
