I need your help tonight. I have a 2000 SS M6. It has a magnaflow catback, FSRam air, Lid, Filter, HAL's 12way adjustables. I ordered Jet Hot header for $511 shipped to my door and a coated Y from them for $211. I ordered the 01 because I was thinking of buying an LS6 lid. However, if the lid gives me no extra power on a stock motor I wan't to keep my intake and plug off the EGR untill I find one off a wrecked ride. The guys a Jet Hot said 01 headers would match up to my car. Should I buy the LS6 intake. Also, in the next two weeks I am going to buy a 220/220 cam with a 114 LSA. Will I need the new intake later.
My concern is that our heads flow 235 intake and 180 exhaust. I've been told our stock intakes flow 260. It seems my heads don't need the better flowing manifold and $440 is a lot to spendd on a few hp. What do you guys think? I am probably going to order the rest of my stuff tomorrow morning so if you see this post please give me your input.

Re: I need your help tonight. I believe when they started putting on the ls6 intakes on the 01 and up cars the dyno's went up as well by around 10 hp, Everybody gets a gain from the LS6 intake so I say get it.
Re: I need your help tonight. Every littl ebit helps...especially when you get a cam. A cam coupled with ported heads and an LS6 intake will work together to acheive maximum horspower and torque. I say go for it as well...or at least go for the Holley or Lingenfelter intake as they can be port matched with you get heads. - Pat

Re: I need your help tonight. definatelly the LS6 intake...but I would only get the holley if you plan on running boost or a lot of nitrous...as the aluminum can heat soak and rob you of power...but I noticed a big difference w/just the LS6 intake and basically free mods done...
