ls6 intake = emission pass ?

ls6 intake = emission pass ? Ive got a 2000 z28 and am about to put on the ls6 intake manifold, and ill also have to cap/remove the AIR system but am concerned about passing emissions in the great state of california 
has anyone else done this or knows if it will be safe to do ? im thinking it is ,considering the 2001 + cars dont have the AIR but wasnt sure... any help would be greatly appreciated

Are you refering to the AIR system or EGR system. I assume you mean the EGR system. The 01-02 cars don't have it, but your car did and still requires it for inspection. If your gonna get over on the inspectors your gonna need to remove all evidence the car ever had EGR. That would mean swaping the manifold for a newer one with no EGR provisions. Even this means nothing if the inspector hapens to know what the car is supposed to have.

However if you ever get sent to a smog only station and not just any place that smogs you might be in trouble.

so anyone in cali who has done this who has anymore info they can share ??? i mean surely its possible theres no way all of us cali guys are excluted from the joy of an aftermarket intake /sigh
