Default Cut-Out Location

Looking to find the best location for my cut-out(s). Here are my 3 options:
I have two cutouts and was planning on running them right after the headers and then have my cats after the cut-outs. Did a little search and found people lost horsepower this way...
So would a cut-out on the I-Pipe after the cats still be good flowing exhaust? I already have the GMMG cat-back so I'm not sure if a cut-out will make a big difference at this location with my GMMG exhaust.
Lastly would running the cut-outs right after my cats be a good idea? Or should I run it like my 1st option?
I plan on running a Reverse Split Cam so free flowing exhaust is crucial but I also will be running cats no matter what.

What kinda cats you running? b/c if there decent with the GMMG your really not goin to gain anything with a cutout b/c its such a good freeflowing system. Cutouts are more useful with a stock/more restrictive muffler. And Ive heard if you put them right after the headers you will gain a few ponies up top but loose some low end torque.

I dont think you can actually loose power by dumping the cutouts off the headers. All the fast guys are running open headers or mufflers right off the headers. I had the cutouts right after the headers on my true dual set up and would run about .2 quicker with them open consistently. The car will naturally feel slower as the loss of backpressure will loose torque down low. Tim

I'm going to be running Magnaflows High Flow Catalytic Converters.
Thanks for the input guys! I'm wondering if I even need cut-outs now...

I have the cut outs right off the headers. I have the SLP y-pipe and one of my cats blew out, so i just loosened up the exhaust took the cats off, and slid in my cut-outs, perfect fit. You can deff feel the loss of back pressure, but the sound is worth it. I havent taken it to the track again yet, so we'l see wat gains (if any) are to be had.
