Default Sealed Hood/Lid Pics...

For those interested, I'm finally getting around to posting pics of how I sealed my hood after debaffling it. I got 1 of the BGRA gaskets, sheetrock screws, and some 5/16" x 3/4" adhesive backed auto weatherstripping from Auto Zone. I used the rear baffle as a template and put screws through all of it. It works perfect!!! It fits flush all the way around. I have no idea how much it helped with performance because I added headers, off road y, gmmg and a custom tune at the same time. But, I know it didn't hurt and it sounds freakin' awesome from the front...
don't have time to resize, here's the link....

how'd u get those pics to fit? i tried to upload them and they were too big??? it's not any different...i originally tried with mdf but couldn't get it right. this just went together really well and the bgra gasket worked much better as the base rather than mdf...when i was inquiring about making this, there were several others who wanted to know how also.

Are you sure you sealed it? The BGRA seals the holes on the bottom of the hood by the latch. I'm sure it helped with the IATs but the hood is not sealed.

You're correct, it's not completely sealed. But, it's better than it was, and it's definitely sucking from the front and not underneath. I guess I could go to extremes and plug the bottom holes, but I like the fact that they drain any water that may enter.

Don't worry about the rain, I've never had a problem. Even in heavy rain 100+MPH and never had a problem.

use sheet metal and make it a direct shot from your hood opening to the airbox. block off anywhere that air can escape

I contacted Brain Green himself to get mine, but you can try to find some rubber grommets at a hardware store to seal them.
