Default Advice on next HP mod

Alright, here are my current HP mods on my 2001 Z28.

Jet Hot Long tubes and Y-pipe (no cats)
corsa cat back
lid
LS1edit
crank pulley
lightweight flywheel (however I have seen where this may actually hurt my times)

I have most of the suspension and drivetrain upgrades (Moser 12 Bolt, LCAs, TA, Drag shocks, Mcleod clutch) to put it to the pavement, now I just need the HP. I dont want to go internal yet (head and cam), so im wondering if there is anything that will help. I know I need a throttle body and perhaps a better Intake, but are they worth the price? I am sure they are more productive with heads and cam, but not stock internals.

Any thoughts gentlemen?

Just go ahead and do a cam. You can do all of these other bolt ons but they'll end up costing you more and make less power. Do them later when you want more from your cam.

+1, I'd just get the money together and do a cam, or heads/cam. It'll be worth it for sure. If you still don't want to go with that, go with a better intake/MAF/TB.

i like the cam idea, but without heads, you wouldnt gain as much with a FAST 90/90. so it doesnt make sense to spend that much on a better intake and not want to spend about the same on a cam swap.

until then, you could P&P the throttle body, freeish and some decent gains.

Definatley do the TB bypass.

Yea, I have actually done the bypass mod. I done that so long ago I forgot I did it. I have slicks and skinny's also. I think I am going to go with the Fast 90/90 or a cam, or just save up and do both at the same time, so I only tune it one time. I am not going for the nitrous yet because I just dont race it enough to justify buying it.

Thanks for the ideas guys!

Cam it and have fun.

Most LS1's gain best from a cam that choosen correctly, more often then not ported heads dont gain quite as good, it really has to do with how good LS1 heads came from the factory.

If you can save up for both you'll be much better off. Also go ahead and get the intake ported. While searching for info on FAST 90s when I did mine, I discovered that most LSx engines with 400+ rwhp gained an additional 20rwhp from an unported fast. And get Patrick G to spec you a cam.
