Trying to remove the u-pulley on a A4.
Trying to remove the u-pulley on a A4. Alright I'm trying to remove the pulley off my car and it's hard remove with the A4. I'm in my garage with basic tools. What did you guys use to hold the flywheel? Remember I don't have a air compressor. Tried to hold it with a big flathead while the wife turns it. Keeps slipping. Any ideas? Thanks
You should really try to find an flexplate locking tool...I have a flywheel holding tool that worked great at holding the flywheel on my car, but obviously, the transmission was out of the way at the time. Maybe try stopping by your GM dealer and see if you can borrow one? Someone around there has to have one...
I pulled out the starter and trying to hold that flywheel is kind of hard. Did you burrow one from the dealer? I didn't know they rent out tools? I'll ask Jason Cromer @sam taylor tomorrow
