Long Tube Headers Question. Please Read. Het everyone. I'd really like to install some long tubes on my m6 99 camaro. Do i have to delete the cats or what? And also I've heard that SLPs long tubes take away 1 1/2 inch of ground clearance. Who do i buy from so that ground clearance isn't shot to hell? Any other info would be great.

I have longtube SLP headers... I have had no trouble what so ever with ground clearance. I freaking love them and they made a nice improvement on my car. Its all up to personal preference, and how much money you want to spend.

No, you do not have to delete the cats. As for the SLP's, I had a set, on a non lowered car that hit the ground often. Now I use the XS stainless headers and have tons of room. There are a lot of great headers for these cars keep searching and reading.

YOU can keep cats..but if you want headers that DO NOT HANG LOW....skip even thinking SLP. They ARE...THE..lowest hanging header made for these cars.....and if you want to lower your car in the future...you will NEED to get other headers.
forget the slp's now then. they are much more than that unless you get them used. in thta price range it is hard to beat XS stainless steel. really similar to pacesetter with much better quality material. Ive got them and they tuck up HIGH, i dont have any cats, but ive got just as good or even better ground clearance than when i was stock. Now there is a sponsor selling them, but i dont remeber his name, there is a thread that just came around that he comments in a few times so its pretty easy to find. or just pm tainted.
