Those with cutouts
Those with cutouts I no longer have the electronic flaps on my cut outs so they have been closed up for a while. I have two right were the cats would go right after the headers. My question is do you guys run at the track with them open it seemed to me that my car did not perform as well with them open? What are you guys finding?
usually the peak tq goes up the rpm scale w/ cutouts open, so sometimes it seems the car is slower over all b/c it feels weaker down low.

hey, ive got a 98 z28 m6 and when i ran at the track, having my cutout open made a noticeable difference. i ran all day with it open, with drag radials and w/o. the last run of the day (or so i thought), i decided to cap it off, and then sure enough one of the C5 guys decided he would race me. so it was too late, i had to run him capped off.. i spun like a mother on the line bc i had more low end torque, and the vette got me by about a car and a half. we went back around to the staging lane and i hopped out, uncapped, and got bak in with a smile on my face. raced him again and beat him by about 5 inches.. i kid you not. he had a better holeshot but about midway down the 1/4 mile, i started to gain on him, thanks to my increase hp at high rpm. by the way, ive got a ls6 cam with lt headers, tsp ory pipe (no cats), ported ls6 oil pump, resurfaced heads. similiar to your setup. itll def help havn it open unless you can get a really sticky launch with it capped. all i did was spin lol.
