Oil Pan Height differences
Oil Pan Height differences Hello,
Was curious if anyone knows the difference in height at the front of the LS1 oil pan between a Camaro and the truck pan? I've looked at the two but not side by side. just trying to get an idea for clearance.

If i were you I would try searching for something in the conversions section. I seem to remember a post with all the dimensions spelled out. cant find it though.
Edit: just scroll down until you see the oil pans. its more than half way down.

Think you could measure the height of the front of the pan?

the camaro pan I think is like 5 1/4" and the truck pan is like 8 1/2" Thats the depth of the back of the pan.

Looks like I could use the extra 1.25" of clearance in the front, didnt know it was that big of a difference.
