Belt Tension Where should the stock belt tensioner read on the indicator marks?
There is one mark on the left which would be loose and two marks close together on the right side which would be where the belt has more tension.
Where should the tensioner mark fall in between with the belt (cold)?

never paid mutch attention on those marks, only that they would hold tension. if your getting some squeeking noise spray some lube on tension wheel bearings, if noise goes away then replace it/them. if not then could be belt and/or pully from a/c, alternator, water pump.

No it is not that, I deleted the power steering and ran a 6 ribbed pulley in place of the alternator idler, I have a 55" belt now but I think it is about 1/2" long because the tensioner points in between the middle of the two marks on the left and if I remember correctly the mark is supposed to be in the middle of the 2nd mark on the tensioner.
